Cary says; “I painted this little sketch while in the company of my late father-in-law. He loved it so much that we framed it and gave it to him. It shows a little girl who may or may not have been his granddaughter, sitting in the shade of a tree, playing with her balloon and watching the sun set. It symbolises hope for the future springing from the care of the past.”
